Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio invites you to join us for the 2023 San Antonio Liver Cancer Symposium on October 20-21, 2023, at the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country. Take the opportunity to learn about new insights and advances in important areas of research and treatment. This meeting provides an invaluable opportunity to interact and network with colleagues in the field of liver cancer.

This two-day symposium will offer stimulating talks and interactive panel discussions that aim to foster collaborations and further advance the field of liver cancer. This meeting will cover the epidemiology of liver cancer, as well as pre-clinical, translational and clinical advances in treating this disease, including survivorship and liver cancer in pediatric patients. The liver cancer community and interested physicians, researchers and providers are encouraged to attend.

Substitution Policy
Substitution of registration (same type) is permitted prior to September 30, 2023. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant with written consent.  Written consent from the original registrant or by the person who paid for the registration is required. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact/demographic information. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing no later than September 30 2023, and are subject to a $25 processing fee for paid registrations. Refunds will not be granted after September 30, 2023,  nor will they be given for no-shows. Email cancellations to UTHealthMTG@uthscsa.edu.

Everyone must register to attend.
Due to liability restriction and concerns, children under eighteen years of age may not participate in any part of the conference.

Call for Abstracts 

We invite you to submit an abstract for the 2023 San Antonio Liver Cancer Symposium.

Abstract Submission:

Titles should be no more than 120 characters with spaces.
The size limit for the abstracts (including title, body and tables) is 3400 characters. This does not include spaces.

Abstracts Instructions:

  • Abstracts must include all authors and their institutions.
  • Disclosure information for all authors must be included.
  • Identify lead author with an asterisk.
  • Awards will be offered and the top 3 posters will get to present during the symposium on Friday, October 20, 2023.
  • Up to 3 references are allowed, these should be cited numerically in the text and placed under “References Cited” with titles included.
  • Abbreviations can be used as long they are defined at their first mention in the text. The author and institution list is not included in the character limit.
  • The lead/main author listed on the abstract must be registered and present at the conference
  • Accepted abstracts - Presenters will be notified by e-mail in September 2023.
  • If accepted for a poster, presenters are responsible for the production and printing of their poster. Instructions for poster printing will be sent to accepted abstracts.
  • All accepted posters will be able to be presented during the evening Poster Session on Friday, October 20, 2023.
